We believe that all people can achieve fitness and life-transforming goals through strength in numbers. We accomplish the Power of 2 through accountability, empowerment, motivation and engagement that ensures life-long success. Our passion is life transformation – physically, mentally and spiritually. Our training philosophy and passion is to develop the total person by achieving fitness goals and life wellness through our professional prescriptions and accountability from our coaches. Our goal is to empower people by transforming their bodies and lives and ensuring total fitness through a training partner, coach, and mentor.
Our program design allows for mobility & skill practice, strength training, and high-intensity conditioning to be progressed up or down to meet the member’s individual goals and needs. By building a solid foundation through stability/mobility and strength training, and an emphasis on the development of technical proficiency of basic movement patterns, we help every member make steady progress and remain injury-free.
The transformation begins now.
With over 30 years of personal training, fitness, and conditioning experience, founder, Jeff Bergholtz M.A. CPT started Takes 2 Fitness in Nashville’s West End neighborhood over 20 years ago based on a proven principle: when you pair individuals in strength, spirit, and mind with a coach and mentor, they are 90% more likely to reach their fitness goals. Since then, the personal training gym has grown to include 3 locations, 25 trainers, and is the premier choice facility for Nashville’s residents.
Unlike most club owners, you won’t find Jeff locked in his office all day. Jeff maintains the most personal training clients of our coaches. Jeff also serves the role of Head Exercise Physiologist, and serves as the case manager on our clients programs. This involves performing the initial evaluation, writing exercise prescriptions, and making sure everyone’s program is perfectly individualized for their success. Jeff believes in leading from the front and embodies the takes 2 mantra of growing younger, together.
