From the Desk of Jeff Bergholtz: Refer a friend, train for free.
It’s officially summer and that means pool parties, beach vacations and outdoor fun. It also
means the pressure is on to look our best. It’s no secret we tend to eat and drink more during
the summer, especially on vacation. Let me lay out some simple suggestions your family can
do together that will help you maintain your summer physique.
- Work out first thing in the morning. That way you don’t get distracted from working out later in the day and you kick your metabolism into high gear before you dive into those tasty vacation temptations.
- When you plan your vacation, look for a hotel or resort with a fitness club or that offers outdoor aerobic activities. If your hotel DOES NOT offer these amenities, take a long walk on the beach each morning or swim laps in the pool to activate your metabolism.
- DRINK LOTS OF WATER. Drinking plenty of water is essential to maintaining a healthy weight and physique and frankly, your body needs more water in the summertime. Most importantly, enjoy your vacation.
I’m also excited to tell you about a couple of ideas that might help you stay in shape but trim
